MY MUSIC LIFE

Since 2007, I was one of the ringers in the Hong Kong Youth Handbells Ensemble, and the Elite team since it started. I have been performing at different events, in different venues over the years with the team. Not only performing in a full concert each year, I was also in the overseas performing tours to the States, Kagoshima in Japan, Singapour, Liverpool and Vancouver.

 

Handbells music plays an important role in my life since I started ringing.

Its enchanting sound calms me and helps my brain relax.

Also, as a team, I learnt to communicate with people having different characteristics, and different ways to deal with issues all over the years.

Besides, I had to manage my time well to balance my time between rehearsing and school work.

Since the team plays different kinds of music, from original scores to movie scores, from Western music to Eastern, from calm to playful ones, I had also learnt to express myself through the scores played. Rehearsing is not easy all the time, but we helped each other to go through challenges together.
